This month on Rug Lane we’re looking at all things revamped, reused and revitalised - what’s old is new again!
From vintage wares to secondhand clothing sales and music it’s all about that reuse, rewear, recycle and re-listen. Bring ing back the oldies and the goodies.
Kicking off the month of March we have our Rug Lane Vintage and Secondhand Markets Vol. 2 on March 5 at Soho Yard in Central (12pm - 5pm). All vendor spaces are completely SOLD OUT which means it’s going to be a full house. With a variety of vendors we have clothing and accessories in all different shapes, sizes, colours and styles - something for everyone. Black Kite Brewery will be back on tap and we have giveaways from those guys as well as Beef and Liberty and Guava Pass Hong Kong. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to do some retail therapy that is also good for the environment. You can pre-purchase your entry ticket here which includes a free drink or buy at the door. It’s sure to be a great Sunday afternoon for bargain hunting - plenty of treasures to be found.
On the site this month we have some great City Slickers to read about including Dr Christina Dean, founder of ReDress in Hong Kong an organisation steering towards a more sustainable future with less waste in the fashion industry. We also have Norbyah Nolasco, teacher, blogger and vintage fanatic and Olivia Lee, co-founder of online vintage wares store The Closeteur in Hong Kong.
Of course there is plenty of music to keep you fueled this month including our new March monthly mixtape, our Tune in Tuesday specials reminiscing on some old classics and a fresh band of the month, Californian locals Cold War Kids who are set to release their 6th studio album, L.A Divine in April.
So join us this month as we get inspired to revamp the old!
