After a quiet January it’s time to get back to business. February may be the shortest month of the year but it’s a BIG month for Hong Kong. Oil Presents Jacques Green

Aiya…just when you thought you would have a quiet Saturday night, you see that Jacques Green will be playing in our neighbouring Shenzhen. The young house producer from Montreal will be debuting in Oil Club, which gives a great opportunity to check out the new venue. Hop on the bus or train to the Mainland and book yourself into a 24 hour spa post party because if you’re planning on attending all three gigs, you’re going to need that massage.

For their fourth salon event, Odd One Out have invited illustrator & artist Charlene Man 萬蒨衡, member of London-based studio Day Job, to give a talk about her experiences working between Asia/UK, as well as the inspiration behind the group exhibition in the space, titled ‘Dog Show.’

Freespace Happening

Freespace Happening is back with it's February edition. Join this lovely monthly grassroots music and arts festival at the West Kowloon Cultural District. For this edition, catch a selection of music performances including Hong Kong’s Argentinian Tango band, Cafe 852, math rock band, Milos, markets, poetry music jam, family and pet-friendly activities, literature programmes, as well as park tours. Cross your fingers for a sunny day and take a picnic and be sure to check out the M+ gallery while you are there.

Chinese New Year Flower Market

LOCATION: Victoria Park WHEN: Saturday 10th February - Friday 16th February

A visit to the Chinese New Year Flower Market during this time of the year is a great way to get into the spirit of the festivities. One of the most popular Markets is held annually in Victoria Park at Causeway Bay. PSA, there are normally extremely large crowds so try to get there before peak hours.

Hong Kong Arts Festival

The city’s biggest art and culture festival returns for its 46th year with mesmerising experimental dance pieces, exciting Cantonese opera, royal classical works and beautiful stage performances. Highlights include the Olivier Award-winning Play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Anna Karenina by Ballet Zürich.
